I’ve always loved being in airports. There’s just this magical energy to the place that feels so potent and powerful.
I don’t think there’s no other place that can change lives so dramatically as airports. it’s like a portal to a different life, some for a temporary period, others for good.
Stepping into NAIA1 today, I felt this magical appeal has somehow diminished for me. Maybe it’s because I was worried about travelling alone and having to face added scrutiny at immigration. Hopefully, it’s not because I’ve lost my sense of wonder.
I still love seeing aeroplanes though. I think they’re such unappreciated miracles that have served us for a long time. I love seeing the clouds too. From my window seat, I see they’re so beautifully fluffy today.
I’m just grateful for the opportunity to travel now. the pandemic has thrown such big curve balls that I can’t believe this is real.
After starting my freelance journey from scratch, I was on a plane to beautiful Singapore. That, I believe, is in itself one of the biggest miracles of 2022 for me.
